Back in February, I hosted an art event out of my then-home for my friends to come together as creators and creative-appreciators of art. The event, titled You Are Here, was meant as a broad theme to spark my friends into making art that speaks to their sensibilities and start conversations across disciplines.
The event was a huge success to my mind! We made art, got together for some snacks, and overall had a super fun time in each others’ company! I am very excited to learn from this experience and host more events in my area to bring together art-makers of all kinds! While my documentation for the event did lack, I really ran this as a test for bigger events to come. I was worried no one would come or make art, but the turnout really showed me that we are in it!
I will be collecting images from the event to make another mini-post, and I’ll upload archival images of the work I submitted to my Portfolio.
